League of Legends Teams Competes For Potential Playoff Spots

SHU LoL Red: SHU Red looked to stay on the top of the group as they played California State University.  The first game was close for a while but then a few quick kills by ADC  Jesse Giuffre opened the door towards victory. Then when Jungler Alex Ruiz made a sneaky call to destroy one of the neutral monsters on the field,  the game was easily clinched when the team fought together and walked right into the enemy base.  The second game was a total smash when Midlaner Ryan Nguyen single handedly took on the team and finished the game with 15 of the 23 kills for the SHU team. The team is still undefeated and if they win the next game they clinch a playoff spot! Current Record: 4-0

SHU LoL White: Looked to take on Brandeis University for a rescheduled game. The team was looking for redemption after going into the first week very nervous for competitive play. The first game started off incredible for the SHU team which focused on a single lane and was able to create an enormous lead that eventually snowballed into a victory! The clutch plays of SHU's Support, Andrew Thomas, put the bot lane ahead. In the second game, the bot lane again pressured the enemy team just like the first game. With the return of SHU's Midlaner,  Seiji Hosokawa, the team was able to close out both games. Current Record: 2-1

SHU LoL Grey: The beginning of the season was rough for them but a game against the University of Northern Iowa looked to get the team upwards on the leader boards.  With the losses behind them, the team easily won the first game and went into the second game excited as ever! A perfect outing by Support Aidan Satterwhite helped the bot lane duo get first tower, while Toplaner Robert Kirschbaum had an amazing performance with a 7.5KDA. This combo led to the first win for this team. With this win, they hope to be slingshot forward hopefully reaching the top of their division! Current Record: 1-2
