X-Men Rugby to Tour Ireland Over Spring Break

Fairfield, CT-  Over this Spring Break, the Sacred Heart X-Men Rugby Football club will be traveling across the pond to tour and play a few friendly matches in Ireland.

The X-Men will depart from JFK for Dublin on March 1, and return from Shannon Airport to New York on Saturday, March 7.

During the trip, the team will visit the cities of Dublin and Limerick, and the town of Dingle. The team will take the pitch once during each stop, beginning on Monday, March 4 against University College Dublin.

They will return to action on Wednesday, March 6 against the University of Limerick. And after a morning training session with West Kerry Fitness, the X-Men will wrap up play with their final match against Rugbai Chorca Dhuibhne of County Kerry on Friday, March 8.

Along the trip, the X-Men will be stopping at tourist attractions such as the Guinness Store House, the Irish Whiskey Museum, as well as taking a guided tour of Slea Head.

They will also make stops at Aviva Stadium which is the home of Ireland rugby, and Thomond Park, which is home of Munster Rugby.
