Fairfield, CT- The 5th annual SHU Trophy, a 2 division/fleet seeding event, was hosted by Sacred Heart Sailing Team this past weekend at the Sailing Center at Sail Black Rock in Captains Cove Marina. 11 teams from New England, New Jersey and Canada competed in the 2 day regatta. The weather forecast, of cool temperatures and occasional rain, did nothing to temper the enthusiasm of the 50+ sailors and 18 total races were held with 9 races for both A and B division teams. Teams were treated to a Saturday post-racing pizza party featuring world famous Pepe's Pizza with support and beverages from Regatta Ginger Beer.
