'A' Team Ice Hockey Welcomes New Head Coach

Fairfield, CT-  SHU Club Ice Hockey welcomes Wayne Sheehan as the ‘A’ Team Head Coach. Sheehan professes to have “hockey in his blood” as a long-time player, coach, junior hockey franchise general manager and league commissioner. Sheehan who is originally from New Hampshire has an extensive background in hockey as he was one of five brothers in his family to play college hockey. Sheehan stayed connected to hockey at various levels, including owning a junior hockey “tier-3” franchise. “I was a coach, owner and league commissioner in tier 3. Due to too much financial commitment, my partners and I sold our juniors team because of that financial commitment, but I’ve remained involved as a coach because it’s who I am as a person” Sheehan stated. Wayne just took a new position as the Director of Campus Safety at Norwich Free Academy.

Sacred Heart is very excited to welcome Head Coach, Wayne Sheehan, to the Club Ice Hockey team.
